Tron (TRX) is leading the cryptocurrency market this morning, as it is the only digital token that is seeing considerable gains within the top 15. Yesterday, was a big day for the Tron Foundation. It was announced[1] that the launch date for Tron’s main net had been advanced. Originally, it was set for July 1st but has been moved up to May 31st.
Tron’s technical team answered[2] various questions in an exclusive interview regarding the reason for the advanced launch. The 50 member technical team came to the conclusion to grade all of the main net functions according to user needs and prioritize them, as such. At the time of reporting this yesterday, the coin was up just 5% but hours later, even bigger news had broke.
Exchanges and Expansion
18 hours ago via Twitter (NASDAQ:TWTR), the major exchange Bittrex announced[4] that TRX was made available for trading. Just after that announcement, Upbit another major cryptocurrency exchange announced[5] the beginning of the trading of TRX on its platform.

The price of TRX had jumped nearly 25% since the three huge announcements but has since corrected somewhat. At press time, TRX is trading at $0.051 a coin, up 13.45%, in just 24 hours. While the rest of the cryptocurrency market is down, TRX remains strong. Most of the coin’s trading remains on exchange giant Binance, as nearly 63% of its trades in 24 hours has come from its platform.
Tron is currently the 14th largest cryptocurrency, passing Ethereum Classic. At its peak it held the 6th largest cryptocurrency, will these new advancements in the project push it back in the top ten?
Tron Dogs has been gaining some serious momentum and breeding will soon be launched on the game’s platform. However, it is seeing a few issues and gamers are getting restless. One enthusiast on Twitter expressed his frustrations with this post[7]. Hopefully, game.com can address these issues quickly and ramp up the launch of the game’s new features. The game has the potential to drive up the price up of the cryptocurrency, as many need TRX to complete any transaction within the game.
