Apple Pay has rolled out in Mexico, with support for American Express[3] and for Mastercards issued by the country’s Banorte[4] and Citibanamex[5] banks.
According to the payment service’s updated Mexican website[6], retail chains supporting Apple Pay in the country at launch include 7-Eleven[7], Chili’s[8], Domino’s Pizza[9], Italianni’s[10], MacStore[11], Petco[12], PF Chang’s[13], The Cheesecake Factory[14] and Grupo Xcaret[15].
Apple announced that the mobile payments service was to launch in Mexico[16] “muy pronto” – ‘very soon’ – in December 2020.
