Apple Pay has rolled out in Israel with support for Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards issued by nine major Israeli banks and credit card companies, according to local media outlets.

The service “will be available to customers of three credit card companies (Isracard[4], Max[5] and ICC[6]), and to bank card holders of Hapoalim[7], Leumi[8], Discount[9], Mizrahi Tefahot[10], International[11] [FBI] and Massad[12],” Israeli news site The Marker[13] reports.

“The other banks (Union[14], Yahav[15], First Digital Bank[16] and Postal Bank[17]) are in contact with Apple to join the service in the coming year.”

Twitter users in Israel[18] have also posted images showing the service as now being available on their iPhone or Apple Watch.
