Latashá, a 33-year-old rapper that studied hip hop at Wesleyan University, believes non-fungible tokens (NFTs) will make her a millionaire very soon. She said this during an interview earlier today, adding that she discovered NFTs and the financial opportunities they present in 2021.
In the interview, pointed out that she launched her career in 2011. However, it took her two years to get her first paycheck. On the other hand, her NFT journey took off quickly after she uploaded her first music video as an NFT in February and sold for $4,000.00 (£2,985.38) in about three minutes.
Latashá has since sold NFTs for as much as $30,000.00 (£22,388.55) and believes she will become a millionaire very soon. Hoping to help other artists thrive as well, the Los Angeles resident said she has been educating other artists about the crypto and NFT space.
Before discovering NFTs, Latashá claims she struggled to make ends meet despite building up various income streams and gigging up to three times a week. She further noted that paychecks from live shows varied, saying she would get between $100.00 (£74.64) to $700.00 (£522.45).
Although she eventually landed bigger deals that saw her bring in around $70,000.00 (£52,238.55) over time, the pandemic came and these opportunities dried up.

Detailing how she got into NFTs, Latashá said she and her partner Jahmel Reynolds were trying to figure out how to make other forms of income after the pandemic hit. Reynolds, who is a 2-D and 3-D artist and filmmaker, then discovered NFTs and started minting NFTs of his 2D art and selling them.
According to her, these NFTs were initially not profitable, seeing as the pieces fetched $300.00 (£223.93).
